I’ve lived in South East London for more than 30 years and worked at a family photographer and portrait photographer in Dulwich and South East London, for more than 15 years. I’ve photographed world-leading authors and actresses, business leaders and aspiring artists. My work has appeared in international media, and on the back of book jackets.
I really like people and especially kids!
Sounds obvious right? But, you’d be surprised at the number of portrait photographers who produce cold, flat, distant images. What I’ve learned is that the best photography results from an emotional connection. It’s my job to make that connection: to help you relax, enjoy the experience, and get the most out of the shoot. That’s why I come to your world rather than make you sit in a studio.
The secret is to spend time with you and your family, and help you to create timeless images that celebrate your family’s life, be it exuberance and laughter, to those moments of thoughtfulness and quiet contemplation.
I’m used to coaxing tantruming toddlers, sulky teenagers, and reticent dads, into sitting for me.
You’d be surprised at the number of people who start my family portrait session as a kind of endurance exercise, but end up throwing pillows and giggling with their kids by the end. I understand that family life is messy, exasperating, chaotic, fun and sometimes poignant. I want to share those moments with you so that you have images to cherish.
Whenever possible I’ll photograph in natural light in black and white.

About me
I’m a mum of a soon-to-be adult and 21-year-old so I’ve been through adorable babies, screaming toddlers, and sulky teenagers. I’ve got a dog who thinks that she’s a human. I trained as a photographer at the London College of Printing, achieved a distinction, and discovered a love of architecture, light, tones and spaces as well as photographing people. My personal work is structural, tonal and abstract. I sell my work at art exhibitions and to order. I’ve also spent 25 years in PR and sponsorship so I understand more than most how best to portray people and businesses at their best. Do get in touch to get the conversation going.
